You'll find some of my favorite photos in our new issue of Girlfriend Getaways on page 14 ("If He Looks Fun, Invite the Bellman"). Tara Donne shot some fabulous stills of different prop ideas for some themed party nights: movie night, game night, spa night, and dance night. The photo for game night is my favorite. (See a low-resolution version of it here). Check out the Pictionary pad with an adorable "head over heels" drawing, sketched by me (in less time than it took for the sand to run through the timer). Ha! The headline of the article with Rebecca's favorite photos (If He Looks Fun, Invite the Bellman) has its own story. As the editor/writer of the article, I was at the photo shoot, which took place in this fabulously chic hotel suite in the Meatpacking District. When we got there, both of us completely thought the bellman was the photo assistant. He was really cute, friendly, (very young), and quite flirty. It wasn't until hours later that we figured out he had nothing to do with the shoot but was just lingering around for the fun of it! I'd originally written a different title for the story, but Erik, our editor in chief, changed it at the last minute to what it is now--it was like he knew!
