Deals: Spa week discounts, through Sunday
Posted by: JD Rinne, Monday, Apr 14, 2008, 1:10 PM

Bummed out that tomorrow is Tax Day? In a case of serendipitous planning, more than 500 spas nationwide are offering deals and discounts this week, with treatments starting at $50 each. It's part of a promotion in 21 cities called Spa Week, which is akin to Restaurant Week.

Here are some sample deals. (Note: They must be booked and enjoyed by this Sunday.)

Seattle
At the Derby Salon, get a "Better Facial"—one hour of exfoliation, massage, and mask—for $50 (regularly $75), including a hand and arm massage.

Chicago
You can start smelling like summer at Channing's Day Spa. It's offering the 50-minute, "kiwi and coconut aromatherapy massage" for $50 (a $45 savings).

New York City
At Graceful Spa, shed your winter skin with a $50 sea salt, a hot stone massage, or a "vanilla orange brown sugar scrub." You'll save about $10. (For more deals in New York City, see Newyorkology.)

Can't get a reservation this week? You'll find spa deals that are available until April 30 by visiting the Spa Week website (spaweek.org). There's also a roundup of spa deals that make for terrific Girlfriend Getaways at girlgetaways.com.
