Save/ShareIt seems that our friends at Leading Hotels of the World have finally gotten their act together and will be holding the aforementioned four-star hotels at $19.28 a night promotion on Thursday, October 23rd.
From the sound of it, anybody is eligible to participate this time whether they pre-registered or not.
Frankly, I'm a bit weary of being duped again, but now that they've moved the time up to 10 a.m. Eastern time I figure it's worth a try. You'll only have 80 minutes "to complete a travel request form, available exclusively at the dedicated site. Submission of this online form within the 80-minute promotion interval is the only way to potentially secure one of the 6,000 room nights that are available at the $19.28 rate."

I was one of the ones that got up at 5 Pacific time to have their website crash. Now it's open to anyone?! I kind of think that they should honor their original promotion and limit it to only those of us who registered.

I just telephoned their corporate office in New York. They tell me that the cutoff to register was October 1st and unless you were registered by then you are not eligible.

They left the original "must use by" dates intact though, so unless you were already going to be in one of these areas or live there, you're looking at a last-minute dash to get there before Thanksgiving if I'm reading my e-mail from them right. Never mind...

Good luck to all. I got my choices in within one minute. Now to just wait 7 days to figure out if I need to reserve a room in a pension or if I have a room in a high class place.

!! I got a hotel my second choice - Grande Real Villa Italia Hotel & Spa in Cascais, Portugal, for two weekend nights. I had two dates for the Lisbon property that obviously did not make it.
Now we can build our Thanksgiving trip around it, and it makes up for booking our airfare to early and blowing $100/person....
