The lights! The glitz! The crime? Starting May 2, a new interactive tour will show you the sights of Hollywood—among them, the Sign, the Kodak Theatre, the Walk of Fame—the way they might appear on the silver screen: as the setting for a twisted plot of seduction, fame, and desire.

Part improv show, part mystery novel, and part guided walk, "Accomplice: Hollywood" starts with a phone call directing you to a secret location. From there, actors and actresses unveil clues about a starlet who's gone missing, along with directions to street corners, bars, and landmarks around Hollywood Boulevard, where you meet other characters who tell you their sides of the story.

The cost? $65 per ticket, which includes a glass of beer or wine and snacks. Overall, you'll spend about two-and-a-half hours piecing together clues and directions with a group of ten, which means you should be ready to mingle or gather nine of your closest friends.

Shrouded in secrecy, the tour thrives on the element of surprise, so the brother-sister creative team Tom Salamon and Betsy Salamon-Sufott are reluctant to reveal any more information. I tried out the New York version, though, and I can tell you that it's an exciting new way to see a city, even if you think you're already familiar with it.

In true Hollywood form, the Salamons got a big name to back the West Coast production. Neil Patrick Harris (of Doogie Howser and How I Met Your Mother TV fame) has signed on to co-produce. He's recently had good luck with start-up projects (just take a look at the success of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog), so expect a good show.
