Motel 6 tries an environmentally friendly re-design

Motel 6 has redesigned 38 of its properties in the U.S. since March 2008.

The design incorporates greener features such as wood flooring made from unused industry scraps and fluorescent light bulbs in all rooms. Rooms have been upgraded to a 32-inch flat-screen TV and a multimedia panel to plug your MP3 player into.

All new Motel 6 properties will have this new design, and makeovers will be given to the chain's approximately 1,000 other locations.

Newly designed Motel 6 rooms can be found in Dallas, Santa Barbara, Chicago, Las Vegas and a few other cities in the U.S. so far. You'll have to call ahead to see if a property got one of the lucky makeovers.

Motel 6 does NOT offer FREE Wifi, it costs $2.99 a day to get wireless internet... they do offer pets to stay for free though...

sure, thanks, too bad, if they're going green and upgrading to euro chic, they should also change to free wireless.

Motel has friendly customer service. I stayed at the Manhattan Kansas Motel 6. Just a complaint . I wnt to get an Internt card which cost 3.25 plus tax they need to lower that or give free service. I went o get an Internt card and 2 ladies were there one of the ladies asked me to come back becaus they were talking. To me it wasnt meant as a joke because she ddint laugh at all. It really upset me. She gave me the card and I left.

One day corp came to the Motel. I don't know if they talked to any one satying there but they should have . I would havent given every one a good review but the lady that told me to come back.

Another thing that I didnt like was them rasing the room rate from 49.99 to 75.99 when the collge football team K-State has home games.

I had been there a while and ddint think it was right to raise my rate up because of the football team. What they should have done was looked at the people that were all ready staying there adn give them the rate of 49.99 and not 75.99. If they want to compete with other motels and hotels they have to redesign the motel and give things that other motels and hotels give there customers.

The Maids or great and friendly and so was the front desk but that one time the lady was very rude to me.

I recommend people stay there but corp needs to tlak to the customers when they come to vist the motel
