Go bananas at Curious George's new home
Posted by: Brad Tuttle, Friday, Jul 17, 2009, 1:54 PM

Starting on July 25, kids can read Curious George books, watch Curious George cartoons, and try to draw (yep) Curious George in a new visitor center for the Curious George Cottage, where the beloved monkey's creators, Margret and H.A. Rey, once lived.

The nonprofit Margret and H.A. Rey Center and the Curious George Cottage are located in the town square of New Hampshire's Waterville Valley Resort, and the new visitor center opens up just in time for the third annual Curious George Cottage Family Festival, which takes place August 7–9. The festival (which isn't cheap at $25 admission for anyone age 3 and up) features banana pancake breakfasts (monkeys love bananas, get it?), live music, face painting, a spaghetti dinner, and appearances by the Man in the Yellow Hat and the mischievous monkey himself.
