Spotlights on four new ships setting sail across Europe.

The Viking Legend sails the Danube, Main, and Rhine rivers. Best feature: Two-for-one bookings made and paid in full through the end of the month for the 15-day Europe trips in 2010. 800/304-9616, vikingrivercruises.com, 14-night Grand European Tour from $6,099 for two.
CORRECTION 8/27: The price of the Viking offer (above) has been corrected. We regret the error.

While in Paris, where can I watch a cook prepare a meal or at least explain the entres we are going to eat? I'd like to do this without paying 140 to 200 Euros for a cooking class.

Any ideas where I can stop while on my way from Avignon to Nice? I'd like something quaint and not a bigger city like Aix-en-Provence. Somewhere worth exploring for an hour or two.
