is there information concerning the reliability of online cruise booking sites?

Carol, I don't know of any. However, you may want to look at the message boards at Cruise Critic (dot com) to see if they have addressed this issue. I have personally booked through Vacations to Go and Cruises Only and both worked well. Definitely shop around - some sites have much better deals than others. Happy cruising!
