In July, we told you about how songwriter Dave Carroll made a YouTube video singing about how a few United employees damaged his expensive guitar. The video was watched more than five million times, and United called to apologize.
Well, a Canadian news outlet is reporting that last weekend United lost the singer's luggage as he was heading to give a speech about customer service.

I missed the video in July and am glad you included the link Sean, what a hoot! Gee, I wonder of United misplaced his luggage this time around out of spite. Nah...couldn't happen...could it?

He should have learned his lesson by now: NO CHECKED BAGS!
Posted By Sixy on November 2, 2009, 10:16 AM
As long as Dave doesn't need to travel with large musical instruments (I recommend the piccolo ;-) he should be able to take everything he is likely to need in a lightweight carry-on. My husband and I have been doing that for decades, even for trips overseas of two months and we dress well. To learn how we do it, put dot com after my name and visit. -- Barbara DesChamps

DITTO NO CHECKED BAGS ! IF YOU ARE AN OLD RETIRED GUY LIKE ME YOU CAN GET DOWN TO A TIMBUK2 METRO ! YOU SHOULD SEE THEIR FACES WHEN THEY SEE THAT ! AIR TRAVEL IS A BREEZE WITH A LITTLE BAG...

Sure, make sure to follow that NO CHECKED BAGS. Then complain when you can't fit that monster in the overhead bin, or it's too heavy for you to lift and you need help. It's really no problem for my bag, if I can't fit it in there after you put both of your bags and your coat up there. Just remember, it's all about you. YOU PACK IT, YOU STACK IT.

Barbara....what a shameless plug for your website that charges money to learn how to pack your bags. What a crock. Honey, I'm a former Flight Attendant and I can pack 2 weeks of clothes in my purse. And I don't charge people to tell them how to do it.

KC, my soft bag weighs only 7 or 8 kilos packed and is under 20 inches. Not a monster. I usually put it under the seat in front and use it as a footrest after I remove my shoes. I'm old enough to remember when planes had footrests, LOL. I can lift it to the overhead if needed. I'm careful not to squish anyone's coat or hat and I expect others to do the same. If you want to know how I get 100 or so items in that itty-bitty bag plus a small waist pack, visit my site. -- Barbara DesChamps

Just like the old Beatles song,"While My Guitar Gently Weeps".
