In this photo, I was…Drinking tea at a small, family-run hotel in Jaipur, India.
I won't leave home without…My iPad (so I can watch movies and entire seasons of TV episodes in flight), plus my Tempur-Pedic travel pillow, eyeshades, and Bose noise-canceling headphones.
My best road trip ever…One summer in college, I rented a Dodge Caravan with five friends and took off for one full month of driving around California and Nevada, staying almost only in campgrounds. By the end of it, I hated those five guys, but today I count them among my best friends.
My favorite travel-inspiring books are…First it was A Room With a View by E. M. Forster that made me romanticize Italy. Also by Forster, I read Where Angels Fear to Tread and was even more intrigued.
